Alexandre Chemin
Postdoc at UCLouvain
alexandre.chemin@anthony
Alexandre holds an M.Sc. in Numerical Methods for Engineering Mechanics from the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France. He completed his PhD at LaMCoS, INSA Lyon (France), with a thesis entitled “Multiscale Isogeometric Analysis with Controlled Accuracy in Structural Mechanics”. He is now a postdoctoral researcher at the Université Catholique de Louvain, where his work focuses on applying the X-Mesh approach to one-phase problems involving sharp interfaces.

Anthony D. Hun
Postdoc at UCLouvain
Anthony D. Hun holds an M.Sc. in Structural and Material Mechanics, followed by a Ph.D. on the modeling and simulation of crack propagation induced by shrinkage, earned from Paris-Est University, in collaboration with Duke University and Ecole des Ponts. He then dedicated three years to an european postdoctoral research, mainly at UCLouvain and ULiège, focusing on fatigue and the identification of polymer metamaterials. In February 2024, he joined the X-Mesh team, where he adapted the project’s philosophy to nonlinear mechanics with plasticity and yield fluid stress.

Guillaume Coiffier
Postdoc at UCLouvain
guillaume.coiffier@uclouvain.be
Guillaume graduated with a M.Sc. in fundamental computer science from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France. He completed his PhD “Global parametrization algorithms for quadmeshing” at the Inria center of the Université de Lorraine, Nancy, France. He is now a postdoc at the Université Catholique de Louvain where he works on mesh generation and mesh repair algorithms for the x-mesh project.
